The Asian Games are getting a lot of attention. International sporting events represent an important economic resource for the country that hosts them, said Franco Ascani, president of the Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, an organization recognized by the IOC.
He cited the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as an example. Qatar saw $220 billion of infrastructure investment during the Games.
