China registered a straight-set 25-18, 25-23, 25-23 victory over Poland in the semifinals. Li Yingying scored a team-high 14 points for China, with middle blocker Yuan Xinyue and outside hitter Wang Yunlu adding 13 apiece.

"China added some quality in defense," admitted Poland's head coach Lavarini Stefano after the match. "Our service couldn't damage them fast enough to believe that we can face their attack."
