Rich taste of Moutai pours out of new book
The Writers Publishing House recently published He Jianming's documentary book, Moutai: the Glory and the Dream, and held a news conference for the new book in Beijing.
The realistic work displays the birth and development of the famous Chinese liquor Moutai, and analyzes the secrets of its success.
Distilled by Kweichow Moutai Group in Southwest China's Guizhou province, Moutai is often served at state banquets.
"The book is a reminder of the times, demonstrating China's liquor culture and recording touching stories of ordinary people who have dedicated themselves to Moutai. While many know the fragrance of Moutai, few know how the rich taste comes about," Hu Bangsheng, a secretary of the China Writers Association's secretariat, said in his speech.
The book's author, He, said that there were many legends behind Moutai and he wrote the book with the aim to pass on the spirit of Moutai, which revealed the arduous progress of how Chinese State-owned enterprises gained fame internationally.
