Handwritten notes bring warmth during the lockdown

Words of encouragement and gratitude have been popping up all over Shanghai as residents look to help one another during the ongoing lockdown due to the latest COVID-19 outbreak in the city.

? A young couple, with a rented apartment in an old community in Pudong district, posted this handwritten note expressing their willingness to help the elderly buy essential supplies through group purchasing.

? An elderly man surnamed Zheng who lives alone in Baoshan town wrote this letter to thank his neighborhood committee, which has been taking good care of him during the lockdown.

? This note expresses one child's wish that his or her mother, who works at a community health service center, would return home soon. The child has not seen the mother for days as she has been busy conducting nucleic acid tests for the residents of the area.
