China's excavator sales drop in January

BEIJING -- China's major excavator manufacturers saw their sales drop in January, industry data showed.
The country's 26 leading excavator makers sold a total of 15,607 units last month, down 20.4 percent year-on-year, according to the China Construction Machinery Association.
Domestic sales of the equipment decreased by 48.3 percent year-on-year to 8,282 units, while the excavator exports surged 104.9 percent from a year earlier to 7,325 units in January.
