Hosting the Winter Olympics amid a pandemic is challenging, but "we need to have that human connection and have athleticism”, says Judy Hoarfrost, a former member of the US table-tennis team who visited China at the age of 15 with the US table-tennis delegation in 1971.

Hoarfrost is excited that the Beijing Winter Olympics are going forward. She said "everybody" is looking forward to the Games, "not just the athletes".
