Watch it again: Looking ahead to Beijing Winter Olympics
Beijing Winter Olympics will open on Feb 4.
With the arrival of the 30-day countdown to the event, China Daily has invited star athletes, pundits and fans from across the globe to join a live talk on venues, suggestions for watching and the state of the winter sports industry.
Shen Xue, former Olympic figure skating champion, will open the session.
The dazzling National Ski Jumping Center, an Olympics venue in Zhangjiakou city, is a wonderful attraction. Its chief planner, Zhang Li, also dean and professor of Architecture in the School of Architecture in Tsinghua University, will reveal more about the venue.
Don't forget about the National Aquatic Center, a landmark during the 2008 Summer Olympics. Now the center, also known as a the "Water Cube", has been turned into an "Ice Cube" for the Winter Olympics. Sun Deyuan, from China Construction First Group Construction & Development Co, Ltd, will give more details about the renovation project.
For some insight from overseas voices, we also have star skier Petra Vlhova, Italy-based winter sports expert Mattia Bazzoni and Austria Ski Federation Sports Director Roman Kuss as our guest speakers.
Alex Hua Tian, a famous equestrian, has extra talents on ice. He will share his first-hand experience of ski resorts in China.
We will also interview a snowboarder at the Beijing Nanshan Ski Resort.
