CPC always strives for the people's interests: Expert
The Communist Party of China never fights for its own interests, but for national liberation and socialist construction with a commitment to the Chinese people, said Hu Yinglian, a professor with the Party School of the Central Committee of the CPC, during an exclusive interview with China Daily answering questions from readers around the world.
China Daily has been conducting a survey since February with our global media partners on what readers want to know about China.
According to the survey, how the CPC works is one of the most-requested topics readers and media are interested in.
"The DNA of the CPC is to put people's benefits as the top priority, which is embodied by almost all major policies in the past 10 decades," said Hu, when asked what the Party's secret is.
The year 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The CPC has become a large party with over 91 million members and has led the Chinese people to realize national independence, development and prosperity.
Hu said, people's well-being is one of the CPC's top priorities, and was a solid promise made to the whole nation since 1921.
In the past 100 years, the Party has led China to overcome challenges including national liberation, poverty reduction and seeking a better livelihood, Hu added.
