Documentary helps viewers 'visit' China's largest national park
For those who have yet to visit Northwest China's Qinghai province, the documentary Our National Park will help you "travel" to the province's most alluring attractions from your living room.
Consisting of three 50-minute episodes, the documentary series — which has run domestically on over 20 satellite TV channels since mid-March — has turned its lens on the Sanjiangyuan and Qilian Mountain National Parks, showcasing their biological diversity as well as locals'efforts to restore the ecological systems.
Located on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, the Sanjiangyuan park covers a total area of 123,100 square kilometers and is the world's highest nature reserve, with an average altitude of 4,700 meters. It is also China's first and largest national park.
