Siemens Healthineers unveils range of cutting-edge tech at CIIE
German medical technology company Siemens Healthineers unveiled a range of cutting-edge technologies, innovative products and overall solutions at the third China International Import Expo, some of which, including a fever-clinic solution and an interventional surgery robot called Corindus, made their China debut.
The fever-clinic solution, which integrates imaging, laboratory and point-of-care diagnosis with a digital platform for smart medical operations, is set to better guarantee both safety and precision, which is essential considering fever clinics' role in the prevention and control of any major contractible disease with rapid response and centralized treatment.
As the world's first interventional robot, Corindus transforms interventional therapy in the traditional sense and separates medical staff from radioactive sources, adding stronger protection and higher accuracy to interventional surgery and reducing postoperative complications.
"The CIIE is a feast that demonstrates China's commitment to opening up and international exchange," said Elisabeth Staudinger, president of Siemens Healthineers Asia-Pacific.
According to Staudinger, Siemens Healthineers has actively participated in CIIE and related activities for three consecutive years, with fruitful results.
"Siemens Healthineers is closely following the development of the Chinese market and looking forward to further exchanges with partners at the third CIIE to together promote the reform and development of China's medical industry, making contributions to building a healthy China," she said.
