As one of the largest movie events in China, the 10th Beijing International Film Festival will be held Aug 22 to 29, announced the organizers on July 28.
The festival was previously scheduled to take place in April, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A promotional video clip released by the festival organizers features a string of celebrities sending their best wishes to the 10-year-old event. Among them are Russian actor Artyom Tsypin, Danish filmmaker Bille August, actress Zhou Xun and director Lu Chuan.
Beijing's cinemas in low-risk areas have partly reopened since July 24, more than 180 days after closure due to COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
