Project to boost cafe customer visits launched again
Saturnbird Coffee launched its second edition of Project Return in 24 cities across China on May 16 and 17.
The project is collaborating with 42 cafes as returning spots. It calls on customers to bring back Saturnbird Coffee's small empty coffee containers and exchange them for free gifts including limited edition coffee, shopping bags and skateboards.
Duan Chu, who is in charge of branding, said the coffee container is made with 100 percent recyclable materials, and the recycled containers will not be used again as containers but to make into other devices.
Duan said the project aims at encouraging people to explore more possibilities in life, as "each spot represents one lifestyle, and we hope our customers can visit the places by themselves".
The first edition of Project Return was held in October in 17 cities. Due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, the numbers of people visiting each cafe was limited this time.
According to Duan, the next edition is planned in September, with hopes to cooperate with more cafes in more cities in China.
