Epec.com, the e-commerce platform for the industrial products of China Petroleum and Chemical Corp, also known as Sinopec and the world's largest refiner by volume, has helped Hubei province sell agricultural products worth more than 60 million yuan in recent months.

Taking advantage of its resources in channels, network and branding, the platform has helped to sell more than 60 categories of products produced in Hubei including orange, tea and crayfish.

The company has also donated agricultural products worth more than 5.3 million yuan to seven hospitals in Hubei.

The company, one of the three biggest oil and gas companies in China as well as a leading supplier of medical raw materials, earlier responded by turning itself into a leading company for meltblown nonwoven fabric, the essential raw material for medical masks, in a bid to fill the demand gap.
