Enjoy soprano Opolais' China debut in Shanghai
Latvian soprano Kristine Opolais, one of the most sought-after sopranos on the contemporary classical music scene, will descend on Shanghai on Saturday in a recital accompanied by Latvian pianist Agnese Egli?a.
The show marks the China solo debut for Opolais, who has mesmerized the world with her splendid voice and stunning performances of Giacomo Puccini works like Madama Butterfly and Tosca at prestigious venues such as the Metropolitan Opera New York, Wiener Staatsoper in Austria and Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin.
"She will give this one and only concert during this China tour, so this is a very rare opportunity to catch a glimpse of the diva," said Gu Shengyin, a spokesperson with Shanghai Oriental Art Center.
