The Chorus revisited in musical
Remember how teacher Claymont Mathieu brightened up the lives of all the troubled boys at the Bottom of the Pond boarding school, in the 2004 French classic The Chorus?
The heartwarming story has touched millions in China. On Douban, China's largest film review site, the film has scored a stellar 9.3 out of 10.
The 24-member choir of the musical is set to pull at the heartstrings of audiences in Beijing with hits from the original movie and a number of new pieces composed by Bruno Kulais, the 2004 film's composer.
First staged in France in 2017, the musical is directed by Christophe Barratier, the film's director, and Broadway director Joseph Graves.
