A glance at China-Brazil relation
President Xi Jinping attended the 11th BRICS Summit in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, from Nov 13 to 14. During the summit, China and Brazil jointly conveyed solidarity and cooperation among the BRICS countries and contribute to the vision of a second "golden decade" of BRICS cooperation.
China and Brazil are important emerging economies and have a comprehensive strategic partnership. The stable development of Sino-Brazilian relationship has been marked by fruitful cooperation over the past 45 years.
Remarkable firsts
Brazil is the first developing country to establish a strategic partnership with China and the first Latin American country to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership with China. It is also the first Latin American country to have a bilateral trade volume of over $100 billion with China.
