A hot spot for hotpot
Sichuan-style hotpot restaurant Xiangtianxia opens its Beijing branch this month. The traditional spicy soup base is freshly made with different chilies and also includes duck blood, quail eggs and dried tofu. A special fish maw with a chicken soup base is another dish that is nutrient rich and full of flavor. Also, try the stewed bullfrog, which is boiled with dozens of spices for hours and can be eaten directly or dipped in the hotpot.
