Sportswear maker Anta helps school in remote region

Anta Sports Products Limited, a leading sportswear company in China, has donated sports outfit and held sports activities at a boarding school in the Gongga Mountain Area of Luding county, Sichuan province, to encourage more children living in remote regions to experience challenges and fun of sports.
The school, located at Luding county of Ganzi Tibetan autonomous prefecture, is a poverty-stricken region. At present, about 483 students study in the school. Of them, 95 students come from impoverished families and many of them live in mountains.
Li Ling, vice-president of Anta Group, said, "As always, we care about teenagers' sports. Not only do we provide professional sportswear to them, but also promote sports development in more schools by leveraging innovative and practical activities."
Li attributed the success of the program to the collaboration with China Youth Development Foundation in building a scientific, high-efficient, systematic sports charity plan to promote sports spirit and Olympic culture to teenagers.
The demands for sports activates and outfits and sports facilities in poverty-stricken areas are massive. According to 2017 research conducted by Anta Group and China Youth Development Foundation, about 90 percent of students in poor regions need sportswear and facilities, only 5.7 percent students of them wear sports clothes and 11.9 percent of them have sports footwear.
Since last year, Anta Sport started to launch the "Sturdy Growth Charity Project" by investing over more than $500 million yuan in terms of capital and sport outfit. The investment is in three categories including outfit donation, qualified education and sports lectures, helping more than 10 million teenagers living in underdeveloped areas.
