Multinational corporate executives on Saturday urged enhanced international cooperation to cope with the backlash against economic globalization.
Mark Wilson, CEO of Aviva plc, said at the China Development Forum that "cross-border partnership" is taking on greater importance, as economic globalization has suffered setbacks.
Wilson advocates the concept of new globalization, which he said refers to globalization that is based on collaboration across different cultures and countries.
Alex Gorsky, CEO of Johnson & Johnson, agreed, saying that international cooperation is needed to promote more balanced global development.
