Adams scores 33 as Xinjiang beat Jilin 123-114 in CBA
CHANGCHUN -- Darius Adams contributed 33 points to pace Xinjiang for a 123-114 road win over Jilin in the 20th round of the 2017-2018 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Saturday evening.
After the home side took a 16-9 lead in the beginning of the game, Xinjiang called a timeout, came back with their 17-0 run to overtake the lead at 34-27, and extended their advantage in the second quarter with a string of three-pointers, running towards the victory without much suspension as Jilin failed to narrow the gap since then.
Thanks to five players' double-digit points, Xinjiang ended their two-game losing streak with the road victory.
Adams led Xinjiang with 33 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists. Shirelijan Muxtar also contributed 21 points and 7 rebounds, while Li Gen had 22 points, Yu Changdong had a double double of 20 points and 13 rebounds and Sun Tonglin added 15 points.
Von Waver scored a game-high 36 points for Jilin, Carl Landry made 23 points and 15 rebounds, Gao Shiyan contributed 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists, Zhang Biao and Cui Jinming combined for 28 points.
