Guangsha smashes Fujian for six-game winning streak
BEIJING - With five players scoring double figures, Guangsha smashed Fujian 103-81 to record its six-game winning streak from the 20th round action of the 2017-2018 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Saturday.
With a pair of 3-pointers from Chen Linjian and Mike Harris, the host Fujian got a flying start at the beginning of the game, yet Guangsha turned the tide around 25-19 in the first quarter, extended it to 20 points in the first half, and kept the lead for victory.
Su Ruoyu scored a game-high 19 points for Guangsha, and 20-year-old Hu Jinqiu added 13 points and 6 rebounds.
Chen Linjian made a team-high 17 points for the hosts, while Mike Harris and Li Jianghuai each got 16 points.
Stephon Marbury and Shavlik Randolph combined for 48 points to help Aolong beat Tongxi 115-108 to put an end to its two consecutive defeats.
Aolong led the first quarter 26-24, and enlarged the gap in the next three quarters. Yang Jingmin and Xu Mengjun scored 22 and 18 points respectively for Aolong, while Jeremy Pargo had a game-high 40 points for Tongxi, and J.J. Hickson got the second best 28 points.
Elsewhere, defending champion Xinjiang beat Jilin 123-114 and Zhejiang smashed Bayi 97-68.
