2. Carlos Tevez: from Boca Juniors to Shanghai Shenhua
Just before the New Year, former Manchester United and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has signed with Shanghai Shenhua in reported $84 million deal for two years. The acquisition of the 32-year-old Argentine from Buenos Aires club Boca Juniors will "greatly enhance" the team's front line, Shenhua said on social media.
The club paid a £9 million ($11m) transfer fee to get the striker, and it was initially said he would be paid a world-high of £615,000 ($760,632) a week to make the move.
